The mammoth is back from extinction! This supremely heavy cotton duck belongs to an special family referred as "Naught" ducks. To the best of our knowledge, we are probably the only source in North America who still supply this heavy fabric.
Trivia: Before the advent of the heavy ballistic nylons and the other synthetic fabrics, these naught ducks were the only choice for ultra heavy fabrics. The "Naught" family had 14 siblings (named 1/0, 2/0... 14/0) with weights ranging from 30 Oz/sq.yd to 52 Oz/sq.yd. Time and technological improvements slowly drove this "naught duck" family to extinction. Sadly, we have been able to revive just one of them(2/0). The old timers still refer to these fabrics with various popular names like "Double-Ought" , "O-O duck", #2 duck etc. When you buy this fabric, you are actually buying a piece of history!
Suggested Usage: Conveyor belts for the bakers, Mule Packing Bags, Saddle Bags, etc.
